When our CEO and renowned Japanese influencer, YURI, first visited Sri Lanka to support a local school, she learned about the deep historical connection between Japan and Sri Lanka. When Japan faced the threat of colonization after its defeat in World War II, it was a speech by then–Sri Lankan President J. R. Jayewardene that helped save the nation.

Upon learning this, YURI expressed her heartfelt desire to “return the favor across generations.” During a time when Sri Lanka’s economy was in crisis, she traveled there with 100 mothers and children to extend support and friendship.

YURI was warmly welcomed by the Minister of Tourism and delivered a speech to an audience of 5,000 people. She also organized cultural exchange events for children from both countries, which generated an economic impact of over 30 million yen (approximately USD 200,000).

The event was widely covered by both Japanese and international media as a meaningful moment that will be remembered for generations to come.
